Overview
The second owner of a Mazda CX-7 car recently purchased this car, according to the previous owner, the car is in perfect condition and without any problems. However, the new owner of the car faced the problem of fogging of the left (driver’s) headlight after washing. Given the amount of condensation inside the headlight, it cannot be said that this is a light fogging of the headlight. And this is only the beginning of the manifestation before seasonal rains or soon cold weather with snow.

The owner of this car contacted our service with a request to solve the problem of headlight tightness. At the time of disassembling the car, it became clear that before the sale, the headlights were dried with a hairdryer or blown out with a compressor, and silicone sealant was poured over the seam of the headlight unit. This method is aimed at a quick fix for the sake of selling the car quickly. The factory ignition unit had long been flooded with water, which collected inside the headlight. The former owner installed a simple Chinese unit for some functionality of the headlight. Japanese cars generally have a problem with headlight tightness. Do not neglect the condensation inside the headlights of your car, contact the service immediately! Violation of the headlight tightness will entail a considerable amount of moisture inside the headlight, thus affecting the ignition unit, lamp, lens reflector, as well as all the wiring inside the headlight, and this is not a small amount of money to restore all this.

We completely removed and disassembled the headlights from the car. The headlight glass was washed from smudges and dirt, the headlight was dried, the lens was also disassembled and preventive maintenance was done — drying with cleaning of the lens reflector. We completely removed the factory sealant from the headlamp gutter and applied a new one, after which we reassembled the headlamp in its original form!
