Signs of reduced light efficiency
The Car Light Design service received the headlights of a 2007 VW Touareg with signs of reduced light brightness. The headlights were intact, with no serious damage or fogging, but:
- the inner glass and modules had lost their transparency;
- there was a dullness on the outside;
- dust had accumulated inside, settling on the lenses and reflectors;
- the low and high beams had lost their power.
Such changes are a typical consequence of aggressive external factors: ultraviolet rays, chemicals, washing, temperature changes.

Complete disassembly and cleaning of optics
To restore the optics to working order, the headlights were completely disassembled. Specialists thoroughly cleaned the internal components, including the lens module.

Polishing and protection of headlights
After cleaning, the inner and outer surfaces of the headlight glass were polished. Then the optics were protected with SunTek anti-gravel polyurethane film, which prevents further damage and loss of transparency. After preventive maintenance, the Touareg headlights once again provide clear and powerful lighting. And thanks to the protection, the service life of the optics will be significantly extended.
