Overview
A common problem with car headlights is cloudy and yellowed lacquer on the headlight glass. The cause of cloudiness or yellowing of the headlight glass is sand, stones and various scratches that damage the protective layer of lacquer on the headlight glass. Yellowing occurs when the lacquer is damaged and chemical elements corrode the lacquer, cleaning agents, salt, etc.

The headlights of this car were sanded and polished. The first stage involves sanding the headlight glass to remove damaged lacquer and chips with deep scratches. After sanding, a polishing cycle is performed to restore the glossy and transparent appearance of the headlight glass.

After the headlight sanding and polishing procedure, the headlight glass is covered with a polyurethane film to further protect the glass from damage. Our specialists recommended that the owner of this car carry out preventive maintenance inside the headlights, disassemble and wash off the greasy layer on the inside of the headlight glass. However, the owner declined this service, so traces of film are visible on the headlight glass.
