Reason for contact: dull and yellowed Nissan headlights
The owner of a Nissan X-Trail contacted our car lighting service in Kyiv because of clouding and yellowing headlights. The plastic lenses had lost their transparency due to the effects of ultraviolet light, cleaning chemicals and abrasive dust. This spoiled the appearance of the car and reduced the light output, making night driving less safe.

Condition diagnosis and restoration plan
After inspection, we determined that the outer layer of the lenses had been damaged by ultraviolet rays and road chemicals. The matte surface prevented normal light transmission. The owner also wanted to keep the black ‘eyelashes’ and protect the headlights from further damage.
- The outer part required multi-stage polishing
- For a long-lasting effect, it is necessary to cover with polyurethane film
- We decided to renew and glue the ‘eyelashes’ after polishing

Nissan headlight polishing process
First, the headlights underwent professional grinding in several stages, which allowed us to remove the tarnished polymer layer. After that, we performed machine polishing to restore factory transparency. The optics became clean, smooth and light-transmitting again.

Wrapping headlights and eyelashes: protection and style
To ensure that the polishing results last for a long time, the headlight surface was protected with premium SunTek polyurethane film, which:
- does not yellow over time;
- protects against stones and scratches;
- blocks harmful UV rays.
The specialists also carefully applied new black ‘eyelashes’, preserving the owner’s desired style. Thanks to the wrapping, the headlights now have a finished look and a modern design accent.

Result: transparent, protected and stylish headlights
After completion of all work, the Nissan X-Trail headlights regained their transparency, provided a clear, uniform light beam and took on a renewed, well-groomed appearance. The protective film guarantees a long-lasting effect and preserves the external condition of the optics during daily use.
