Reason for contact: moisture inside the KIA Soul headlight
The owner of a KIA Soul contacted the Car Light Design auto light studio (Kyiv) after a routine car wash. One of the headlights suddenly fogged up from the inside, and moisture began to condense on the internal elements of the optics. This situation is dangerous because it can lead to corrosion, short circuits, and failure of the LED or xenon unit.

Disassembly and diagnosis of headlight fogging
Our service technicians removed the bumper to gain full access to the headlight and performed diagnostics. During the inspection, a breach in the factory seal was discovered, which allowed water to enter the interior of the housing.
Moisture began to accumulate after each wash, indicating a loss of tightness and the need for immediate repair.

The process of eliminating fogging in the KIA Soul headlight
The headlight was completely disassembled along the factory seam. Our specialists:
- removed the remains of the old sealant;
- dried all internal elements;
- cleaned the housing, reflector and light module;
- applied new high-temperature sealant;
- reassembled the headlight and tested it for leaks.
After completing the work, the headlight was reinstalled on the car and connected to the electrical system.
