Initial condition of the optics
The owner of an Audi A4 B8 with a damaged headlight contacted our service centre. The glass cracked after an impact, but the body and mountings remained intact. The crack was located in the visible part, which spoiled the aesthetic appearance. It would have been technically possible to glue it, but it would remain visible at a certain angle and would not solve the appearance issue. The only correct solution was to completely replace the glass.

The glass replacement process
The headlight was disassembled to access the internal components. After that, all the optics components were thoroughly cleaned of dust and small contaminants. Next, the technicians installed new glass and sealed the seam to prevent moisture from entering in the future.

Final result
After the sealant hardened, the headlight was reassembled and tested. The optics regained their aesthetics and functionality, remaining sealed and reliable.
