Overview
In 2004, Mercedes-Benz began production of the CLS series of luxury four-door coupes, which became the golden mean between the E- and S-Class. Michael Fink’s idea combined the attractive appearance of a coupe with the comfort of a sedan. The flagship of this line was the CLS 55 AMG model.

The owner of a Mercedes-Benz CLS 550 AMG contacted Car Light Design with a complaint about poor road lighting at night. The car was equipped with factory xenon modules, which had lost their properties due to wear and tear. This is not surprising, as even premium optics lose their effectiveness over time.

It was decided to replace the standard mono-xenon modules with modern 3.0-inch Galaxy Q5 bi-xenon modules and install new D2S Osram lamps.
List of work performed:
- Disassembly of headlights
- Removal of old modules
- Installation of Galaxy Q5 lenses
- Cleaning of internal optical elements
- Installation of new D2S Osram lamps
- Assembly and sealing of headlights
- Light adjustment on a test bench

The car's headlights were opened and the factory xenon light module with a damaged reflector was removed and replaced with a new Galaxy Q5 3.0 bi-xenon module.

Before assembling the headlights, the internal elements of the car optics were cleaned.

During diagnostics using a microendoscope, the masters found wear on the xenon lens reflectors. The projection screen showed that the light had become dim and unevenly distributed.

After completing all the work, the service specialists projected the new light onto the screen to clearly show how the car's lighting had changed after installing the new car lamps and Galaxy Q5 3.0 bi-xenon modules.
