Condition of optics after an accident

A Nissan X-Trail purchased at an American auction was brought to our service centre. Already in Ukraine, the new owner discovered serious hidden damage — both headlights had broken housings and broken mountings.
After assessing the situation, the owner considered three options:
- order a similar headlight from the United States;
- find European optics and use them as a donor;
- restore the existing headlights.
The most economical solution was to completely restore the existing housings.
Repair and restoration of housings

Car Light Design craftsmen dismantled the internal light modules with American electronics and began soldering the cracks, strengthening the housing and restoring the mountings.
Result

After completing the restoration work, the headlights were assembled, their functionality was tested, and they were checked for leaks — no signs of fogging.
