Overview
With the transition of car manufacturers from tempered glass to acrylic for the manufacture of headlights, Chevrolet Captiva owners have faced a new problem — loss of transparency of the protective layer.
Acrylic headlights are prone to clouding, scratching and darkening, especially when exposed to sunlight, temperature changes and washing chemicals.

The owner of a Captiva contacted us with a complaint about weak lights — the headlights had lost their transparency. The clouding was not only on the outside, but also on the inside of the headlights, which significantly reduced light transmission.

To completely restore light transmission, our specialists disassembled the headlight unit, sanded and polished both sides of the glass, cleaned the light module, and then reassembled the headlight with a new sealed seam, in accordance with factory standards.

After polishing the headlight glass, the car's lights were restored to factory settings. And the car owner did not have to worry about driving at night with poor road lighting.
