Initial condition of Depo optics

The owner of a Honda Accord 8 with non-original Depo headlights contacted our service. They had several problems: weak light, broken mountings and cracks in the housing, which caused the headlight to fog up periodically.
Replacement of lenses and restoration of the body

To improve the light output, we replaced the standard 2.5-inch mono lenses with 3.0-inch bi-lenses. At the same time, we repaired the cracks in the housing and secured the damaged mount. After sealing the units, the optics became reliable and protected from moisture again.
Adjustment and result

The final stage was adjusting the light on the test bench. After adjustment, the projection from the new 3.0-inch bi-lenses became even and bright, fully meeting the requirements for safe night driving.
Why it is worth repairing rather than buying new headlights

Many car owners immediately look for cheap Chinese replicas instead of repairs. But practice shows that refurbished original or even Depo optics, after high-quality repairs, serve much longer than new ‘no-name’ analogues.
