Initial condition of the Audi Q7
An Audi Q7 arrived at our workshop with fully functional but outdated halogen optics. In the basic configuration, the lights performed their function, but fell significantly short of modern standards. The halogen lamps produced a yellowish and weak beam, and the rear lights looked plain and lacked the brightness of LEDs.

The owner brought a complete set of original LED optics from the restyled version of the Audi Q7 and wanted his car to look as stylish and modern as the newer models.

Challenges when installing LED optics
Although the headlight and brake light housings were identical in shape and mountings, the main difficulty arose — the car's ‘brains’ simply did not understand LED light sources. The electronics of the base version were programmed for halogen lamps, and therefore, after replacing the headlights, they could generate errors or not work at all. Therefore, the work consisted not only of physically replacing the optics, but also of correctly configuring the electronics so that all of the car's systems would work flawlessly with the new LED headlights.

Installation, rewiring and reprogramming
Service specialists rewired the wiring so that every element of the new optics — low and high beams, dimensions, daytime running lights, turn signals and brake lights — would work correctly. At the same time, the auto electrician recoded and reprogrammed the comfort unit and other electronic systems. This allowed the LED optics to be synchronised with the car and avoided any errors on the instrument panel.

Only after this did the new LED headlights begin to function as intended by the manufacturer.

Final result
After completing all the procedures, the Audi Q7 was transformed both externally and technically. The car acquired the modern look of the restyled version, and its lighting devices became much more expressive and safer. Now the headlights provide perfect road illumination, and the LED brake lights and turn signals make the car more visible to other road users.
