Reason for contact: preventive maintenance of BMW e46 M3 headlights
The owner of the BMW e46 M3 is a true enthusiast who strives to keep his car in perfect condition. Although the headlights looked good visually, there was slight dust inside and signs of wear on the glass. This could have led to a loss of transparency and a reduction in light output. The owner also noted that the factory seals had lost their tightness, causing dust to accumulate in the headlights.

Headlight removal and diagnostics
The technicians carefully removed the headlights to gain access to all internal components. During the diagnostics, the following was determined:
- presence of internal dust;
- slight clouding of the glass;
- partial loss of sealing due to old seals.
Thanks to early intervention, it was possible to prevent condensation and damage to the lenses.

BMW e46 M3 headlight maintenance process
The headlights were completely unpacked. We thoroughly cleaned the internal components and washed the lenses, reflectors and housing to remove dust. The old lenses were replaced with new ones, along with sealing rubbers, which the owner had purchased in advance.

Installation of new lamps and sealing of headlights
After assembling the headlights with new glass and seals, we checked for leaks and the absence of fogging. We installed high-performance Osram D2S Night Breaker lamps, which provide improved light output and maximum brightness.

Light adjustment on the test bench
At the final stage, professional light adjustment was carried out in accordance with DSTU and EEC standards. As a result, the BMW e46 M3 headlights became clearly focused, with the correct light-shadow boundary and optimal distribution across the road surface.
