Prerequisites for light modernisation
The owner of a Mitsubishi Sigma contacted our car lighting service in Kyiv. Despite the car's considerable age, its appearance was still in good condition. However, over time, a problem arose with the front optics — one of the headlights began to fog up, which directly affected the quality of road lighting. It was this malfunction that prompted the owner to contact the service centre.

Diagnosis of the condition of the halogen light
Realising that the headlight would have to be opened in any case to eliminate the fogging, the owner decided to take advantage of the situation to comprehensively improve the car’s lighting.
The service technicians projected the light onto a screen to objectively assess the condition of the halogen optics.
After the diagnostics, there was no doubt: installing 3.0-inch bi-xenon lenses was the optimal solution. Such a modernisation:
- significantly increases the light output;
- forms a clear light-shadow boundary;
- simultaneously solves the problem of fogging headlights.

Preparing the headlights for the installation of bi-xenon lenses
After agreeing on the budget and the list of components, the technicians got to work.

The headlights were removed from the car. The glass was separated from the body, after which the reflectors were removed. The reflector areas where bi-xenon lenses were to be installed were prepared for painting in matte black. The bi-xenon lens masks were also prepared for painting.
After preparation, all elements were painted and dried in accordance with technological requirements.

Installation of bi-xenon lenses and headlight assembly
3.0-inch bi-xenon modules were installed on the prepared internal headlight elements. Next, the headlights were assembled with a new sealed seam and left for the technological time required for the sealant to crystallise. After the seam had set, a test was carried out to check that there were no prerequisites for re-fogging. After ensuring that the seal was tight, the headlights were reinstalled on the car. Next, an auto electrician joined the work, integrating the ignition units into the Mitsubishi Sigma's electrical circuit.

Light adjustment with a device
After connecting the optics, the specialists performed light adjustment of the bi-xenon lenses using a professional device. The light beam was precisely adjusted in accordance with the standards to ensure maximum efficiency and not to dazzle oncoming traffic. After completing all procedures for installing bi-xenon lenses in halogen optics, the final stage began — a control light projection.

The result of headlight modernisation
After all the work was completed, Mitsubishi Sigma received:
- bright and uniform light;
- a clear light-shadow boundary;
- the problem of headlight fogging was eliminated;
- a renewed and more modern look for the optics.
The comprehensive installation of bi-xenon lenses significantly increased the comfort and safety of driving at night.
