How moisture kills car lights

The owner of a Lexus ES ignored condensation in the headlight for a long time. The light was still shining, so it seemed that the problem was insignificant. But constant moisture inside the housing eventually led to complete failure of the headlight.
Diagnostics and search for causes

The mechanics dismantled the headlight and conducted a detailed inspection. The cause of the fogging was a breach in the housing's seal. The light malfunction was caused by a burnt-out ignition unit, which had become damp over time.
Restoration and sealing

The headlight was disassembled, thoroughly washed and all internal elements were cleaned of moisture. After that, a new original ignition unit was installed, the housing was resealed and the headlight was reassembled.
A result that restored safety

The restored headlight was returned to the car and once again provides bright and clear light on the road. Now the owner will know for sure: condensation in the headlight is a signal to immediately contact a service centre to avoid expensive repairs.
