Owner’s complaint: weak light from Nissan Murano headlights
The owner of a Nissan Murano with xenon lens optics contacted our car lighting service in Kyiv. Although the headlights looked quite decent on the outside, the driver complained about weak and ineffective light, which did not illuminate the road well at night.
To objectively assess the situation, specialists projected the headlight beam onto a screen. The projection result confirmed the owner’s complaints — the light beam was dim and uneven, which did not meet the expectations of xenon optics.

Diagnostics: condition of lamps and factory lenses
To get the full picture, we checked the xenon lamps and used a digital endoscope to assess the condition of the factory light module. Diagnostics showed that the reflectors of the factory lenses had lost their properties, making it impossible to form a correct and bright light beam. The data obtained clearly indicated the need to replace the factory lenses in order to achieve high-quality headlight light.

Decision made: 3.0-inch bi-xenon lenses
After consultation with the owner, it was decided to install new 3.0-inch bi-xenon lenses and replace the bulbs with Philips D2S Vision White bulbs. This combination provides a powerful, uniform and comfortable light output.

Headlight disassembly and preparation for lens installation
The specialists at the auto lighting centre dismantled and opened the Nissan Murano headlights, then removed the worn-out factory xenon lenses. All internal elements were thoroughly cleaned of dust and operational contamination.

Installation of new bi-xenon lenses
The next step was to install new 3.0-inch bi-xenon lenses. After installation, all internal optical elements were cleaned again, and the headlights were assembled with a new sealed seam. After the sealant had crystallised, a quality control test was carried out and the headlights were checked for any signs of internal condensation. Only then were the optics reinstalled on the car and connected to the standard wiring.

Glass polishing and SunTek film protection
After installing the headlights, the specialists polished the outside of the glass, removing minor scratches and cloudiness. To preserve the result for a long time, the headlights were covered with SunTek polyurethane protective film, which protects the optics from stones, ultraviolet rays and aggressive environments.

Light adjustment and final projection
The final and most important stage was adjusting and setting the headlight light with a device. The light parameters of the new bi-xenon lenses were set in accordance with DSTU and EEC standards.

After that, the final light projection was performed on a screen, which clearly showed the difference between the condition before and after replacing the lenses.

Result: bright and correct light
After replacing the factory lenses, installing new bulbs and precisely adjusting the light, the Nissan Murano headlights began to shine brightly, evenly and without dazzling oncoming traffic. The optics not only got a new look, but also a real improvement in the quality of road lighting, which directly affects the comfort and safety of night driving.
